Sweet Potato Fries:
- 1 sweet potato per person
- 2 teaspoons of cornstarch per large potato
- 1 Tablespoon of olive oil (or coconut oil) per large potato
- Spices of choice: cinnamon-sugar, salt, cayenne, curry, pumpkin pie spice, garlic powder, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Prepare the sweet potatoes: Wash, peel, and thinly slice the sweet potatoes. Toss the slices with cornstarch until coated.
- Add seasonings: Place the slices in a bowl, add olive oil and desired seasonings, and mix well.
- Bake the fries: Arrange the sweet potato slices on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Flip the fries and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until crispy.
- Cool and serve: Turn off the oven and leave the fries inside to crisp up. Enjoy the sweet potato fries hot and crispy.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can soak the sweet potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes before baking.
