Ingredients
Scale
Salmon:
- 1 1/2 pounds salmon filet
- 1-2 tablespoons all-purpose seasoning mix (use homemade or preferred blend)
Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Toppings and Accompaniments:
- Chili crisp for topping
- Cooked rice
- Avocado cucumber salsa (see notes for recipe)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) to prepare for baking the salmon.
- Prepare Salmon: Cut the salmon into individual portions if desired and pat dry with paper towels. Coat each piece evenly with the all-purpose seasoning mix. Place the seasoned salmon on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Mix Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, grated garlic, and soy sauce. Set half of this sauce aside for serving after baking.
- Apply Sauce & Bake: Spread a small spoonful of the bang bang sauce over each piece of seasoned salmon. Place the baking sheet towards the top of the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 10 minutes.
- Broil for Color: After baking, switch your oven to broil and cook the salmon for an additional 2-3 minutes until the tops are golden brown and caramelized, achieving the characteristic bang bang glaze.
- Serve: Serve the salmon over cooked rice with your choice of vegetable, such as the avocado cucumber salsa. Drizzle the reserved bang bang sauce and sprinkle chili crisp on top for extra flavor and texture.
