Ingredients

OATS

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon

FROSTING TOPPING (optional)

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar (more or less to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. OATS: In a bowl, combine the oats with milk, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix together well.
  2. Store: Place in an airtight container and refrigerate overnight or for at least 3 to 4 hours.
  3. FROSTING: The next morning, mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and milk to make a glaze.
  4. Serve: Drizzle the glaze on top of the oats and enjoy!
