Description

A classic Club Sandwich featuring crispy bacon, deli turkey and ham, fresh tomato, lettuce, cheddar cheese, and creamy mayonnaise layered between toasted white bread slices. Perfect for a hearty lunch or casual dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Meat and Cheese

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 6 oz deli sliced turkey
  • 6 oz deli sliced ham
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

Produce

  • 1-2 tomatoes, sliced
  • Lettuce (amount as desired)

Pantry

  • 12 slices good quality white bread
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Cook Bacon: Cook the bacon in a skillet until it is crisp. Once cooked, drain the bacon on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess grease.
  2. Toast Bread: Toast all 12 slices of white bread until golden brown to add a sturdy texture to the sandwich.
  3. Prepare Bread Base: Lay the toasted bread out in four rows of three slices each. Spread just under 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise on each slice to add flavor and moisture.
  4. Layer First Set: On the first slice of bread in each row, place one slice of cheddar cheese, then add a quarter of the turkey slices, followed by a couple of slices of fresh tomato.
  5. Add Middle Bread: Place the middle slice of bread on top of the tomato, mayonnaise side down. Spread the remaining mayonnaise on the top side of this middle bread slice.
  6. Layer Second Set: On top of the mayonnaise-spread side, layer the crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and ham slices for a flavorful stack.
  7. Top Bread and Serve: Place the final slice of bread on top with the mayonnaise side down. Use toothpicks if desired to hold the sandwich together. Slice each sandwich into halves or quarters and serve immediately for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • For best results, use high-quality deli meats and freshly toasted bread.
  • Customize the sandwich with your favorite cheese or add avocado for extra creaminess.
  • To keep sandwiches from becoming soggy, assemble just before serving.
  • To serve cold, wrap tightly and refrigerate up to 2 hours before serving.
