Description

A creamy and refreshing Greek Yogurt Jello dessert that combines the rich texture of Greek yogurt with the sweet and fruity flavor of strawberry gelatin. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for a light dessert or a snack, served chilled and optionally topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Base

  • 1 box (6 oz) strawberry Jello gelatin (or your favorite flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Yogurt Mixture

  • 2 cups Greek Yogurt (whole milk preferred, vanilla or plain)

Optional Garnishes

  • Whipped cream or Cool Whip whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Gelatin: In a large bowl, add the gelatin powder and pour in the boiling water. Stir continuously for about two minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  2. Combine Yogurt: Whisk in the Greek yogurt into the dissolved gelatin mixture until it is well combined and smooth.
  3. Add Cold Water: Pour in the cold water and stir gently to mix without creating too many bubbles.
  4. Prepare to Chill: Transfer the mixture into 8 individual serving dishes, each approximately 6 oz in capacity, or pour into a medium-sized serving bowl.
  5. Chill: Cover the dishes or bowl and refrigerate until fully set, approximately 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Before serving, optionally top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries or other preferred garnishes like sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh mint.
  7. Storage: Cover and refrigerate any leftovers for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • You can use two 3 oz boxes of Jello instead of one 6 oz box, or choose sugar-free gelatin for a lower sugar option.
  • Whole milk Greek yogurt provides the creamiest texture, but plain or non-fat Greek yogurt can be substituted depending on preference.
  • Alternative garnishes such as sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh mint can be used to add texture and flavor.
