Description

This Easy Christmas Crockpot Candy is a delightful holiday treat featuring a luscious blend of melted white almond bark, semisweet and German sweet chocolates, combined with crunchy peanuts. Cooked gently in a slow cooker, this no-fuss recipe yields festive, bite-sized clusters that make perfect gifts or party snacks during the Christmas season.

Ingredients

Scale

Candy Base

  • 2 lbs white almond bark (white candy coating), broken or chopped into smaller squares
  • 12 oz bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 oz bar German sweet chocolate, broken or chopped into smaller squares

Add-ins & Toppings

  • 32 oz dry roasted or cocktail peanuts
  • Holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Slow Cooker: If desired, lightly spray the insert of the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Then add the chopped white almond bark, semisweet chocolate chips, and German sweet chocolate into the slow cooker.
  2. Cook Chocolates: Place a clean, dry kitchen towel over the top of the slow cooker, then secure the lid on top. Cook on HIGH for 1 hour to start melting the chocolates mixture gently.
  3. Continue Cooking on Low: Reduce the heat to LOW and cook for an additional 1 hour, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes to ensure the chocolate melts evenly without burning.
  4. Add Peanuts: Carefully remove the lid and kitchen towel, ensuring no condensation drips into the chocolate. Stir in the dry roasted or cocktail peanuts until fully combined with the melted chocolates.
  5. Form Candy Clusters: Line several baking sheets with wax paper. Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the candy mixture onto the prepared sheets. If using holiday sprinkles, sprinkle them over the clusters immediately before they harden.
  6. Set and Store: Refrigerate the candy clusters for 30 minutes to 1 hour until fully set. If refrigeration isn’t possible, let them stand at room temperature until set. Once hardened, store the candies in a cool place inside an airtight container.

Notes

  • Monitor the candy closely as cooking times and temperatures may vary by slow cooker model.
  • Ensure no condensation falls into the chocolate when removing the lid to prevent texture issues.
  • You can swap peanuts for other nuts or add dried fruit for variations.
  • Using the kitchen towel under the lid helps absorb moisture and keeps the candy smooth.
  • Store candy in a cool, dry place to maintain texture and freshness.
