Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Base
- 200 grams dark chocolate
- 50 grams white chocolate
Decorations
- 1/4 cup mini colorful sprinkles
- 8 pieces pretzel sticks
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Tray: Line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent the chocolate trees from sticking and allow for easy removal after setting.
- Melt the Dark Chocolate: Gently melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl using short bursts of 20 seconds, stirring in between, or use a double boiler method until fully smooth and melted.
- Pipe the Tree Shapes: Transfer the melted dark chocolate into a piping bag or a resealable plastic bag with a small corner cut off. Pipe tree shapes approximately 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide onto the parchment paper, ensuring the base of each tree overlaps a pretzel stick which will serve as the trunk.
- Melt the White Chocolate: Similarly, melt the white chocolate until smooth and flexible for drizzling.
- Decorate Trees with White Chocolate and Sprinkles: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the piped dark chocolate trees to create a snow-like effect. While the chocolate is still wet, evenly sprinkle mini colorful sprinkles for festive decoration.
- Set the Trees: Allow the chocolate trees to set either by leaving them at room temperature or placing them in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes until firm and solidified.
- Serve or Gift: Carefully peel the trees off the parchment paper and arrange them on a festive platter for serving, gifting, or decoration.
Notes
- Work quickly during piping and decorating before the chocolate sets to ensure clean shapes and good adherence of sprinkles.
- You can substitute dark chocolate with milk or white chocolate depending on preference.
- These chocolate trees make delightful edible gifts and charming holiday décor items.
