Scale
Main Ingredients
- 113.4 g gingerbread-flavored vodka
- 56.7 g coffee liqueur
- 56.7 g Irish cream liqueur
- 113.4 g half and half or cream
- 2 tsp ground ginger
Garnish & Rim
- 1/2 cup whipped cream (for garnish)
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon (for garnish)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted (for the rim)
- 1 cup gingerbread cookies, crushed (for the rim)
Instructions
- Rim the glasses: Melt the white chocolate and carefully dip the rims of two martini glasses into the melted chocolate. Immediately after, dip the rims into the crushed gingerbread cookies, turning the glasses to ensure an even coating. Set aside to allow the chocolate to set and hold the cookie crumbs in place.
- Prepare the cocktail mix: In a cocktail shaker, combine the gingerbread-flavored vodka, half and half or cream, Irish cream liqueur, coffee liqueur, and ground ginger. Add a generous amount of ice to the shaker to chill the mixture.
- Shake the cocktail: Secure the shaker lid and shake the ingredients vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds. This chills the cocktail and blends the flavors thoroughly while slightly frothing the cream.
- Strain into glasses: Using a cocktail strainer, pour the chilled mixture into the prepared gingerbread and white chocolate-rimmed glasses, ensuring no ice escapes into the drink.
- Add final garnishes: Top each martini with a dollop of whipped cream. Lightly sprinkle ground cinnamon over the whipped cream to add aroma and festive color.
- Serve immediately: Present the drink while chilled to best enjoy the creamy texture and warming flavors. Perfect for holiday parties or an indulgent treat.
Notes
- Melt white chocolate carefully to avoid burning; use a double boiler or microwave in short bursts while stirring.
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute gingerbread syrup and coffee-flavored syrup in place of liqueurs.
- Crushed gingerbread cookies on the rim add texture and extra gingerbread flavor—use fine crumbs for best adherence.
- Use freshly ground cinnamon for a stronger, fresher aroma.
- Make sure to shake well to blend the cream thoroughly with the alcohol for a smooth texture.
