Sour Cream Mixture:
- 6 oz. full fat sour cream
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper, to taste
Cheese and Olive Topping:
- 7 oz. green olives, drained and sliced
- 6 oz. black olives, drained and sliced
- 8 oz. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
Additional:
- 8–10 oz. loaf French bread
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare sour cream mixture: In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, garlic powder, butter, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Add cheese and green onions: Mix in shredded cheese and green onions until well combined.
- Combine with olives: Fold in the sliced green and black olives.
- Prepare bread: Slice the French bread loaf into halves widthwise and then lengthwise.
- Top with olive mixture: Spread the olive and cheese mixture evenly on the cut side of each bread piece.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bread edges are golden.
- Broil: Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley, slice, and enjoy!
