Description

These Prosciutto Melon Skewers are a delightful combination of sweet melon, savory prosciutto, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze and cracked black pepper. Perfect for a quick appetizer or a light snack!

Ingredients

Scale

Cantaloupe:

  • 1 small cantaloupe

Honeydew:

  • 1 small honeydew

Additional Ingredients:

  • 24 fresh basil leaves
  • 12 mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 12 slices prosciutto, cut in half
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Freshly cracked pepper

Instructions

  1. Halve and Scoop: Halve cantaloupe and honeydew, scoop out and discard seeds. Use a melon baller to scoop out melon balls. Set aside.
  2. Assemble Skewers: Layer cantaloupe, basil, prosciutto, mozzarella, prosciutto, basil, and honeydew on skewers.
  3. Drizzle and Serve: Arrange skewers on a platter, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and sprinkle with cracked black pepper. Serve.

Notes

  • Store skewers (without glaze) in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Add balsamic glaze just before serving.
  • Prepare skewers 2 days in advance and add glaze before serving. Refrigeration may alter texture slightly but flavor remains enjoyable.
