Description

This Quick Rum Punch Recipe is a vibrant, refreshing cocktail perfect for parties or a casual gathering. Easily made as a single serving or in a large pitcher, it combines white rum with tropical juices and a touch of grenadine for sweetness, garnished with fresh fruit and optional nutmeg for extra flavor. It’s a colorful, festive drink that’s simple to prepare and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale

For a Pitcher:

  • 750 ml white rum
  • 1 cup pineapple or mango juice
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup lime juice
  • 3/4 cup grenadine or strawberry syrup
  • Sliced fresh fruit (strawberries, oranges, pineapple, and/or limes)
  • Optional: 1 tsp ground nutmeg

For a Single Serve:

  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz pineapple or mango juice
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz grenadine or strawberry syrup
  • Sliced fresh fruit (strawberries, oranges, pineapple, and/or limes)
  • Optional: a pinch of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Make a Pitcher: In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the white rum, pineapple or mango juice, orange juice, lime juice, grenadine or strawberry syrup, and 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg if desired. Add sliced fresh fruit directly into the pitcher to infuse flavors.
  2. Mix & Chill: Stir the punch well to combine all ingredients. Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator until ready to serve. When serving, pour over ice in individual glasses and garnish with additional fresh fruit and a light dusting of nutmeg.
  3. Make a Single Serving: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 2 oz white rum, 1 oz pineapple or mango juice, 1 oz orange juice, 1/2 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz grenadine or strawberry syrup, and a pinch of ground nutmeg if using.
  4. Shake Well: Shake vigorously for at least 90 seconds or until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  5. Serve & Garnish: Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with sliced fresh fruit and an optional dusting of nutmeg. Enjoy responsibly.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by modifying the amount of grenadine or strawberry syrup according to taste.
  • Use fresh-squeezed juices for the best flavor, but bottled juices will work in a pinch.
  • The nutmeg is optional but adds a warm, aromatic twist to the punch.
  • This recipe can easily be scaled up or down for parties or individual servings.
  • Always serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and ensure guests are of legal drinking age.
