- 2 cups honey nut o’s cereal (Honey Nut Cheerios)
Glaze
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix-Ins
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1 cup peanut butter candy pieces (Reese’s Pieces)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 275 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, toss together the peanut butter corn cereal squares, wheat cereal squares, mini pretzels, cheddar cheese crackers, and honey nut o’s cereal until evenly mixed.
- Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, light brown sugar, maple syrup, kosher salt, and cinnamon until smooth and well combined.
- Coat Snack Mix: Pour the glaze over the mixed dry ingredients and stir thoroughly to ensure every piece is evenly coated with the buttery maple mixture.
- Bake: Spread the coated mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to prevent burning and promote even browning. The mix should turn a golden brown color.
- Cool and Add Mix-Ins: Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheets. Once cooled, gently stir in the mini marshmallows, candy corn, and peanut butter candy pieces to incorporate them without melting.
